REA outstanding alumni awards nominations

Each year, the Rice Engineering Alumni organization presents awards to two outstanding alumni: the Outstanding Engineering Alumnus Award and the Outstanding Young Engineering Alumnus Award, reserved for engineering graduates under the age of forty.

Photos of past REA outstanding alumni can be seen in Duncan Hall.

Even though the deadline for nominations for this year's awards is past, it's not too early to start thinking of who should be recognized next year.

In making the selection for the award winners, the Board of Directors of the REA considers a variety of factors including achievements, contributions to the engineering profession, involvement in community activities, and service to Rice. Our candidates come from nominations by Rice engineering alumni, Rice faculty members, and members of the community at large.

Nomination should include the name of the individual, contact information for both the nominee and the nominating party, biographical information about the nominee, and a description of why the nominee is deserving of the award. A call for nominations will be circulated to alumni early in 2008.
