A film crew put Fathi Ghorbel, associate professor of mechanical engineering and materials science, center stage as they prepared a video for showing at Harnessing the Lighting: An Economic Growth Summit for Texas, held November 13-14 in San Antonio. Ghorbelís company, itRobotics, was one of four Rice start-up companies awarded funding from the State of Texas' Emerging Technology Fund. ItRobotics received $750,000 to support development of pipeline inspection robots. The summit was sponsored by the office of the governor of Texas. Click here to view the video.
